At 23, as a Black woman, Shanna has felt the intense extremes of love and hate. Yet, she is compelled to share her story, alongside the stories of countless women whose struggles and triumphs resonate deeply across time and space. From an early age, she often faced a sense of hopelessness in the face of the challenges women endure. Yet, through her paintings, she has found a powerful form of agency, creating a space where their voices can be heard.
